I can't login?
The cause could be due to a variety of factors. Some things to check include:
- Make sure you are on the right site. Open up a new Internet Explorer window. In the address bar type in
http://www.ntcmn.edu (Northwest Technical College Home page). On the top right of the screen you will see MyNTC. Hover over MyNTC until the drop down appears. Click on the Desire 2 Learn link.
- Make sure you are spelling your username and password correctly. The password is case sensitive.
- Usually it is Firstname_Lastname e.g. Jane_Doe. If that does not work try: Firstname_Middleinitial_Lastname e.g. Jane_A_Doe. If that does not work try: Firstname_Middlename_Lastname e.g. Jane_Ann_Doe
- Your Password: is your student tech ID number Example: 00067359
- NOTE: You can change your password to something easier to remember once you have logged in.
I forgot my password.
There is a password retrieval function in the login page (Forgot Password?). After entering your username, your password will be emailed to your college email address.
The course I am taking is not listed on the My Home page. What's wrong?
There can be a few reasons why the course is not listed, including:
- You have registered late and are not yet enrolled in the Desire2Learn component for the course.
- The class is not using Desire2Learn.
- Make sure you click on the [+] icon next to the Semester code. You need to expand the code to see your coures for the semester.
When I try to access a page why do I get an error: 'Error - No Login'?
For security reasons the system will log you out after a specified amount of time if no action is performed. If this occurs when typing a long message for content or discussion it is a good idea to first type into a word processor document like Microsoft Word.
