Classlist

The class list tool is a central area from where you create a profile, locate classmates and send them a page, and identify classmates who are currently online.

The Class List lists everyone taking your course, along with the instructor(s).

Find your name on the class list. You'll notice that your name and email address are highlighted in yellow. Yellow highlighting indicates that you - and any other highlighted names - are currently online.

Some courses assign students to groups for various assignments, discussions etc. If your instructor chooses to divide the class into groups, you will see a column next to the names on the class list indicating what group you are in, or a "-" to indicate that you are unassigned. (If you don't see any other column, it is because your course does not use groups).

The class list offers a convenient way to email your classmates. Click on the email address beside a name, and you'll get a contact form with the email address already inserted. Click on their name and you will be able to send them an instant message!

To view a user's personal profile, click on the '?' next to their name. To fill in your profile, click on the "?" beside your name.
