Northwest Technical College is located in northern Minnesota’s lake and forest area on the southern edge of the city of Bemidji near Lake Bemidji and the Mississippi River. The greater Bemidji population numbers 25,000 and serves as a regional commerce and health center. The College has a current enrollment of over 1,300 learners with a faculty and staff of approximately 70.

General Education/Mathematics Instructor (Part-time unlimited, .75)
Description:   Online course instruction, using the Desire 2 Learn Platform, in but not limited to, mathematics, college algebra, foundations of math and technical math. Onsite/online course instruction with advising/office hours.
Qualifications:   Master’s degree with a major in mathematics or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 16 graduate semester credits (24 graduate quarter credits) in mathematics. Teaching and learning Competencies requirement: (Required for all credential fields). Faculty shall have a degree in education or three years of successful full-time employment (or equivalent) teaching experience prior to being hired, or shall be required to complete coursework in the following content area (or their equivalent) prior to being granted unlimited status. Course construction (Credit course), Teaching/instructional methods (credit course), Student outcomes assessment/evaluation, (credit course), Philosophy of community and technical college education (credit or non-credit course)

Massage Therapy Instructor TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: .50 (half-time) will become an unlimited .50 (half-time) position upon completion of the required six semesters of probationary status. contingent upon adequate enrollment
Description:   Curriculum planning, course development and delivery, academic advising, assessment of student learning, maintaining relationships with industry, professional development, program recruiting, graduate job placement. Teaching schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or above in a health related field, Graduate of a massage therapy program, 8000 hours of related occupational experience, Educational Substitutions, Bachelor’s degree or above in a health related field and 4000, hours of occupational experience or Associate degree or two year diploma (90 quarter credits) or certificate of completion from a certified Massage Therapy College/School and 6000 hours of occupational experience or, One year diploma in Massage Therapy and 7000 hours of occupational experience or courses for credit or clock hours (1 quarter credit/20 hours or 1 semester credit/30 hours) with an appropriate title or prefix and ccupational hours totaling 8000. Recency Requirement: One year of work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. In order to perform duties and travel for the College, the successful candidate must possess a valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in related fields, National certification in massage therapy, Experience teaching at a two-year college, Knowledge of active learning strategies, Knowledge and experience in Eastern Body Work including
reflexology
Salary Range:   Salary is contractual and ranges from $33,500 to $68,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience

Part time (.50) Construction Electrician Instructor
Description:   We are looking for an individual with great people skills who wants a challenging and rewarding position that will offer the opportunity to change lives by using your excellent Construction Electricity skills and imparting knowledge to learners who want to begin
a career in the Construction Electrician field. Salary is contractual and ranges from $33,500 to $68,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position will become an unlimited .50 position upon completion of the required six semesters of probationary status. This position is contingent upon adequate enrollment. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Establish and maintain standards of learner behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom/lab. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials as part of
planned learning experience. Must be able to motivate and encourage learners. Evaluate learner academic growth, keep accurate records, prepare progress reports and communicate with learners on individual progress. Identify learner needs and cooperate with other professional
staff members to assist with resolutions. Maintain professional competence through participation with in-service education activities provided by Northwest Technical College and/or self selected professional growth activities. Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, and department
meetings as required. Maintain good public relations through involvement in outside Construction Electrician related activities (i.e. seminars, in-service training, etc.) Select and requisition books, instructional aids, instructional supplies and maintain required inventory records.
Qualifications:   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a license as issued by the Board of Electricity as a Class
A master electrician or Class A journeyman electrician. Bachelor or above degree in electrical or electronic engineering and 4000 hours of occupational experience in engineering, planning. laying out, supervising or installing technology system wiring or Have an associate of applied science degree in electrical construction or maintenance, or both or two year diploma (90 quarter
credits) in an electrician program and 6000 hours of occupational experience, or one year diploma in an electrician program and 7000 hours of occupational experience , or courses for credit or clock hours (1 quarter credit/20 hours or 1 semester credit/30 hours) with an appropriate title or prefix and occupational hours totaling 8000 or 8000 hours of occupational experience as an electrician or residential/commercial sites - some may be maintenance. Recency Requirement: One year of work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. In order to perform duties and travel for the College, the successful candidate must possess a valid
Minnesota Class D driver’s license.
